Posts: 1039 04/03/2007 05:53:41	Tags : None On another note I came across a bloke from the states who is going to build me a sage z-axis 10' 4 pc forjust over £330 that's a saving of over £300 on the UK price. DaveMcNeese@hotmail.com tight lines I will keep you guys posted on the end result. The builder has won quite a few awards from sage. This rod is for knocking a few stocked rainbows into shape if its as good as the xp 5wt 100-4 then it should be magic. I used the sage 5wt on stocks res on Friday and just for the record it worked really well it just couldn't bang the heavy lures out as far as I wanted. I was promised a shipping order yesterday but I have still not recieved one after yet another phone call. It lacks a hook keep but general build quality was excellent. I would not recomend Mcneese to anyone not due to the quality of the rod but because he was not up front about the time he could deliver the rod and told quite a few pork pies that the rod has been sent or was ready to send etc. I wasnt on my own and another angler who had also purchased a saltwater fly rod had more trouble than me getting his rod. But it did come through in the end. My rod took over four months to be deliverd and the other guy over five months so the season was almost over by the time it arrived. As A result I have choose to build my next sage z-axis my self a 590-4 and i have now added rod building thread to this forum. I can how ever recommend stealhead56 on ebay (anglers habitat from usa) Wayne was very quick at sending my z-axis 590-4 rod build kit.
