After a 5 year sabbatical chasing the silver tourists all around Scotland from Cheshire, then finding life too short and the season for salmon so fleeting, then moving to the North East, well thats it! Back to grayling fishing...

... but boy am i going to miss the Dee at Corwen!

Isnt there some decent Till, Teviot or Tweed grayling opportunities though? Must do some research and get back out this winter. Any leads much appreciated as grayling hunters seem thin on the...

Fished here for a couple of hours this week whilst on holiday.
Small Wrass only. Conditions like a mill pond!!!! but overcast.

Tackle shops all struggling for fresh peelers.

Fished the Rock channel Bank today with my young gun Cameron
fished the low to half way inn 1600 hours 2015 hours
We fished Two rods out
Biometric pressure 1008
air temp 21 deg
very light wind
Bait fresh blow lug / crab /joeys/ muscle tea bags/ flapper rig

Only the odd light tap no bites. Crabs robbin the bait good style!

Another three anglers out no fish for any of us although a local Eric gave me a few tips on the Venue.

Fished Formby today light rain this morning overcast rest of the day.
No sign of any bait fish or birds on the feed.
Fished from formby point
from 830am until 1600pm tide down and 3/4 of the way back up
Only me fishing one rod
bait peeler crab
black lug
muscles and squid.
twin hook flapper rig
No bites not a sniff the breeze was off shore.
Fished long and short range.
At least no one was taking money on the car park today!
